This red beryl crystal from Utah shows vivid raspberry-red colour around a softly pink core, glowing beautifully under natural light. Measuring about 6 mm across and weighing 1 carat, it’s small but visually powerful — a perfect hexagon that stands out even among rare minerals. Its rim has a glassy lustre while the centre shows delicate etching that adds texture and depth.
Formed in the remote rhyolite cavities of Searle Canyon, this crystal grew under the precise mix of heat, pressure, and manganese needed to produce red beryl — a process so unusual that complete crystals are seldom found. Most are partial or etched, so a clean, well-defined outline like this is a genuine rarity. The colour remains rich even without back-lighting, and it sits beautifully in a perky box or small thumbnail mount.

RARITY
Red beryl is among the rarest naturally occurring beryl varieties, found in only a handful of locations worldwide. Within that, complete hexagonal crystals are especially scarce — most are etched or fragmentary. This specimen combines saturated colour with near-perfect symmetry, offering the precision of a textbook crystal in miniature scale.
USP
A vividly coloured, perfectly shaped red beryl crystal from Utah, showcasing the form most collectors hope to find but rarely do.
