This natural red beryl crystal from Utah’s Ruby Violet claims weighs 14.5 carats, making it one of the chunkier loose prisms from this famous deposit. At 1.5 cm in length with a cross-section of 0.7 × 0.5 cm, it is much larger than the embedded microcrystals more commonly seen from the Ruby Violet claims.

This piece has a natural etched termination at the top and a fractured basal end that reveals a gemmy red interior under backlight. Its raspberry-to-cherry colour zoning, etched prism faces, and minor rhyolite inclusions highlight its natural formation. With strong saturation and translucency in the basal window, this crystal offers excellent display value and rarity for a loose specimen.
