This natural pyrite crystal with calcite comes from Chivor, Colombia, a region better known for emeralds but also home to distinctive pyrite specimens. The piece displays sharp metallic lustre with golden tones and subtle violet iridescence, set against pale calcite. Compact and well-balanced, it stands naturally for display and carries strong collector appeal.

From the Palo Arañado Mine in the Chivor emerald district of Boyacá, this specimen highlights the less common mineral associations of the region. The pyrite shows crisp cubic geometry with natural striations, and the calcite matrix provides both stability and contrast. Its compact cabinet size makes it easy to display, while the intact crystal faces reflect careful recovery.
