Mahenge spinel crystal, natural pink spinel, tanzania crystal, raw spinel, rare mineral specimen, collector crystal, untreated gemstone

• One off natural mineral specimen. You will receive the exact piece shown in the photos.
• Selected for colour, form and display appeal. Once sold, it will not be restocked.
• Photographed under neutral lighting to show accurate colour and clarity.

This natural pink spinel specimen comes from the Mahenge region of Tanzania and weighs 30 carats. The spinel is still partly surrounded by its pale host material, with strong raspberry to red-pink colour, some purplish tones and areas of good translucency.

It is not a perfect textbook crystal, but it retains natural crystal form alongside contacts and fractures from extraction. I particularly like the contrast between the vivid spinel and the lighter matrix, and the fact that it remains much closer to its natural geological state than the Mahenge material usually seen after cutting.

Metaphysical Properties

Spinel is traditionally associated with vitality, resilience and renewed energy. Pink and red spinel are often connected with emotional strength, confidence and the heart.

These associations come from crystal and metaphysical traditions and are not scientifically established.
