This is the sort of Imperial Topaz where the colour really comes alive when you move it. This is a long 60ct crystal from Ouro Preto, Brazil, with a rich reddish-orange body colour that shifts through warmer peach and orange tones depending on the angle. Turn it in the light and the red becomes much more obvious, showing the pleochrism that makes good Imperial Topaz so difficult to capture properly in a single photograph.
At 3.7cm long, it has a particularly elegant, elongated crystal form with strong natural striations running down the prism faces and good transparency through large parts of the crystal. The top retains a natural stepped termination, although it isn’t perfect: there is visible chipping and contact damage around part of the upper section, together with natural internal inclusions and fractures. I would much rather show those areas properly than hide them. What makes this piece stand out for me is the combination of its long form, reddish colour and red pleochroism from one of the world’s most important and restricted mineral localities. Photo.pdf

Metaphysical Properties
Imperial Topaz is traditionally associated with confidence, motivation, abundance and personal power. It is often used as a stone for setting intentions, pursuing ambitions and turning ideas into action.
Its warm reddish-orange colour is also commonly associated with creativity, vitality, courage and determination, particularly through connections with the solar plexus and sacral chakras. For those who work with crystals metaphysically, Imperial Topaz is often chosen when focusing on confidence, momentum and personal growth.
