This Okorusu fluorite from Namibia has an unusual upright formation, with a large, diagonally positioned cubic crystal rising above a series of smaller, intergrown cubes. The colour varies considerably across the specimen, from deep violet-purple to teal-green and pale aqua, with some of the darker purple areas appearing almost opaque against the more translucent green crystal growth. Several faces display distinct internal colour zoning, particularly where the purple and green meet.

What I particularly like about this piece is its rather unconventional arrangement. The larger upper crystal appears to lean over the smaller cubes beneath it, creating a striking, asymmetrical silhouette. The lower section reveals overlapping cubic faces, stepped growth and further purple-green zoning, with small areas of pale beige mineral material visible between the crystals. It has plenty of character when viewed from different angles, although the principal viewing side is undoubtedly its strongest.

The specimen displays natural growth irregularities, surface markings, visible contacts and some imperfect crystal edges. Areas of internal fracturing and pale mineral material are also present. Please examine the photographs carefully.
