This natural Faden quartz crystal is a slender Swiss alpine quartz specimen measuring 5 cm and weighing 15 g. For mineral collectors and crystal collectors searching for authentic alpine quartz rather than mass mined material, this piece shows the distinctive internal thread that gives Faden quartz its name. The elongated crystal form and secondary growth make it an appealing miniature display specimen.

It was hand extracted by skilled alpine mountaineers working in challenging high altitude terrain, using careful small scale collecting methods. The crystal shows clear to semi transparent quartz around the internal seam and displays well when angled under light, where the internal structure becomes easier to see.

Metaphysical properties

Faden quartz is often associated with healing and reconnecting energy because the crystal forms through repeated break and regrowth. Some people keep Faden quartz nearby when they want to refocus or restore balance. These interpretations are spiritual traditions rather than scientific claims.
