This natural faden quartz crystal is a Swiss Alpine quartz specimen with a visible internal seam running through the main crystal, giving it the distinctive structure collectors look for in true faden material. At 5.1 cm, it works well as a miniature display crystal for a cabinet, shelf, or desk, and it suits mineral collectors who want something more unusual than a standard clear quartz point.

It comes from the Piz Beverin Faden Pocket in Graubünden, Switzerland, and was hand extracted by skilled mountaineers working in challenging terrain at around 1700 metres above sea level. The cluster has several natural terminations, clear to semi transparent quartz, and soft honey staining that adds warmth without overpowering the crystal form.
