It is a Swiss faden quartz on natural matrix, with the faden crystals rising as a clean little crown at the top. It is the sort of piece that suits a collector shelf, a desk display, or a gift for someone who actually cares where a specimen came from and how it formed.

Most of the specimen is solid, authentic fissure matrix, and that is the point here. The quartz is not trying to be a showy cluster, it is peaking out in a way that feels real and unforced, with two faden quartz crystals sat on top as the focal detail. The original pocket information is included, and it was hand mined by skilled Alpine mountaineers at around 1700 metres above sea level, from the Piz Beverin area in Graubunden, Switzerland.
