A large, high-quality epidote with quartz specimen from Hakkari Province, Turkey. Several substantial translucent quartz crystals rise from densely crystallised green epidote, with colours ranging from deep green through olive to brighter pistachio tones.

At 193g, this is one of the better Hakkari specimens from this parcel. The larger quartz crystals give it excellent presence, while smaller quartz and epidote crystals cover much of the surface between them. Green epidote can also be seen associated with and within areas of the quartz, making the interaction between the two minerals particularly attractive.
