This is a really attractive epidote with quartz specimen from Hakkâri, Turkey. A large translucent quartz crystal forms the main focal point, surrounded by a field of smaller grey-clear quartz crystals with dark olive-green epidote growing across and between them.

What I particularly like about EP03 is how evenly the green runs through the specimen. It isn’t just a patch of epidote stuck on one side; the quartz and epidote are visually intertwined across the whole display face, giving the piece a lot of depth for its size. Material like this is often referred to on the collector market as “fairy forest epidote” because of the green, almost moss-like formations growing amongst the quartz crystals.
