This is a natural Swiss Alpine quartz crystal from Obergoms in Valais, Switzerland, with fine rutile inclusions running through the clear quartz alongside natural internal veils and growth features. What I like most about this piece is how much changes when you move it through the light — the crystal can look quite clean from one angle, then the internal structure, rutile and warm iron-rich areas suddenly become much more obvious.

At 18.5 grams and around 3.4 cm across, it is a compact Swiss quartz specimen but has a surprisingly substantial feel in hand. The broad natural faces, internal inclusions and orange-brown Alpine staining give it far more character than a completely clean quartz point, while the original contact areas and minor edge wear have been left exactly as found.
