This Rizalite tektite from the Philippines is a rare member of the Australasian impact glass family, formed around 780,000 years ago during one of Earth’s most powerful meteorite events. Part of the same group as Moldavite and Indochinite, Rizalites are far less common and remain highly sought after by collectors.
Weighing 37g and measuring 3.7 × 3.0 × 2.3 cm, this specimen shows sharply defined regmaglypts, a natural midline groove, and a glossy jet-black finish. Its complete, unbroken form and excellent preservation make it a true representation of high-quality Rizalite, offered exactly as found — natural, unpolished, and untreated.
