Appearance may vary slightly under different lighting conditions. This Okorusu fluorite is dominated by a broad cubic face with unusually strong purple and green colour zoning. Deep violet-purple occupies much of the outer crystal, passing into very dark green and teal through the centre before becoming brighter and more translucent around some of the edges. The result is a crystal that can appear almost black in thicker areas before revealing far more colour under stronger light. The reverse gives the specimen a completely different character. The main fluorite sits against pale matrix with smaller green and purple fluorite crystals, pale crystalline growths and contrasting orange-brown mineralisation. Rather than a clean isolated cube, this is a naturally complex miniature that preserves much more of its original mineral association, while still retaining one large, strongly coloured display face.
