A particularly glassy fluorite from the historic El Hammam Mine in Morocco, with large pale greenish-grey to champagne cubic crystals showing distinct lilac and deep purple colour zoning through their interiors. The largest crystal dominates the specimen and has broad vitreous faces with good transparency, allowing the darker internal growth zones and natural cleavage structures to be seen clearly from several angles.

There is a lot of depth to this piece when rotated in the hand, with smaller purple fluorites growing around the main crystal and colour changing noticeably depending on the viewing angle and lighting. Some photographs have been taken with light transmitted through the specimen to show its internal clarity and zoning, rather than to represent its normal surface colour. Natural contacts, small edge chips, internal cleavage and areas of etched surface texture are present and shown clearly in the photographs.
