This is a richly coloured yellow fluorite from the Sidi Said Mine in Midelt, Morocco, with a warm golden to honey-yellow colour and surprisingly good translucency for such a compact crystal. Broad natural faces remain around the piece, with glassy areas, pronounced stepped growth and fine parallel growth lines. When strongly backlit, the fluorite becomes much brighter and almost luminous, revealing the internal structure and depth of colour particularly well.

At just 2.3cm, almost the entire specimen is fluorite rather than a small crystal sitting on a large amount of matrix. Different sides reveal clearer golden sections, rougher secondary growth and naturally terraced surfaces, while under UV the crystal shows a strong blue-violet fluorescent response. Natural contacts, small chips, internal cleavage and locally rougher crystallised areas are present and shown clearly in the photographs.
