• One-off natural mineral specimen. You will receive the exact piece shown in the photographs.
• Selected for its vivid green colour, transparency and clearly visible colour zoning. Once sold, it will not be restocked.
• Photographed under neutral lighting to show the colour and internal features as accurately as possible.
This natural diopside crystal comes from the Merelani Hills of Tanzania, a world-famous gemstone district better known for tanzanite but also home to some beautiful collector minerals. The crystal has a long prismatic form, a well-preserved termination and very good transparency, allowing its soft apple-green colour to be seen throughout much of the specimen.
At the base, dark matrix provides a striking contrast against the crystal, while a small associated crystal adds another point of interest. Whether you’re adding to a mineral collection, looking for an unusual natural crystal, or searching for a thoughtful gift for someone interested in geology or gemstones, this is a genuine one-off specimen that has been left exactly as it formed in nature.
